Matt breaks the main technologies LG is focusing on into three categories. There are“ keep the lights on” traditional signage technologies that we have put LG on the map and then there is the“ cutting edge” side driven by our R & D working toward the future.
Regarding the cutting edge tech: 1)“ The interactive whiteboard market is really becoming a change agent in the education and corporate collaboration spaces. LG has developed some fantastic technologies that really deliver what the teachers and CTOs are looking for.” 2)“ Direct View LED technology,( which you would easily recognize as what lights up Time Square in NY) is quickly taking over many potions of the traditional flat panel signage space. LG is heavily invested and helping to drive this change. Higher brightness, longer life cycles and infinitely expandable form factors really make this technology a huge focus for all of the players in the industry.”
Then there’ s AI.“ If you’ re not familiar with the Gram Laptop, check them out,” Matt says.“ They’ re really light. That’ s why we call them the Gram.” He further highlights specific spaces that LG is innovating technology, asking:“ How well can we play with a camera, with a control system, with a mount?” But then, from a sales perspective, understanding distribution and the arena in which they play in is important and how to leverage that for reach and scale. Then also having that consultative end, making sure that those resellers and those end users don’ t feel like they’ re making a very expensive decision on their own.
