How has technology been used in other areas in tennis?
Judy Murray:“ I can remember in my early days when I was coaching juniors, it was all done with a pen and paper and you drew your diagram or your stick man.
Now when I look at the variety and volume of data and stats that is available to you as a coach, it allows you to analyse technique because you can go into the slow motion of it.
You can sometimes see where the serve started to drop off between set one to set two and even to set three, which would then help you to set the fitness training plans.
I remember going to US Open juniors one year and having a video camera that I stuck on the fence at the back of the court to film the opponents.
Now when I look at what’ s available on a click – and it’ s not just available to you before the match, it’ s available after the match, but it’ s available in real time as well.”
