Wimbledon 2025

What does Wimbledon’ s global audience look like today and what’ s changing?

Chris Clements:“ There are over 3 billion people in the world who are aware of Wimbledon as a brand and about a third of those have identified as having an interest in Wimbledon.
In 2024, our global audience was in excess of 670 million people that engaged with Wimbledon in any way.
We had over 13 billion engagements last year with Wimbledon globally, which works out at about 20 per individual that we’ ve engaged with.
We produced over 5,200 pieces of content across all markets and platforms – and we grew our audience by 63 % on social media, delivered 1.6 billion video views in total and on our app, we saw average app store reviews of 4.9 stars.”
Kevin Farrar:“ We’ ve also got Gen Z who are using social media to engage with content which creates great opportunities for us to engage with them.
In the past year, the share of 16 to 24-year-old sports fans who watch highlights online has grown by 22 % and 66 % of sports consumption comes from this core group of 20 % of fans.
Our challenge is to see how we can tap into that and make best use of it in terms of engaging with people around the world through digital platforms.”
