THE AI INTERVIEW

“ We know that people don’ t come into work to manage their inbox – they’ re trying to close deals, they’ re trying to create – and we want to support them on that journey”

Google Vids now has AI avatars moving to general availability. Users can generate video presentations from written scripts, addressing technical limitations and personal preferences around recording.
“ You can just write a script and then have an AI avatar deliver it for you in case you’ re camera shy, and you don’ t have to worry about all the‘ um’ s and‘ ah’ s: you can just have a clean script,” Kristina says.
The platform now incorporates Veo, Google’ s video generation model, with users able to create video content through text prompts, removing the need for filming equipment or video editing software.
Google Sheets also has AI Function, bringing Gemini operations to the spreadsheet environment. The feature works at the cell level. Users can invoke AI operations within individual cells rather than through separate interfaces. Data analysis tasks that previously required coding or external tools can now happen within the spreadsheet. Users call language model functions directly in formulas, integrating AIpowered text analysis, data extraction and transformation into standard workflows.
Google Workspace AI reducing training costs Google treats Workspace as a platform rather than separate applications, with features operating across multiple tools within the same environment. Take Notes for Me in Google Meet, for instance, captures meeting discussions and outputs them as Google Docs, maintaining the formatting and collaboration features native to the document editor.
“ When you’ re in a meeting, you can focus on the discussion and it’ ll take notes in a Google Doc with all of the capabilities that you would expect,” Kristina says.“ So it’ s easily shareable, it’ s editable and it’ s a great example of how these products come together to really ease communication.”
The integration addresses a barrier to AI adoption beyond technical implementation. Organisations face costs and productivity losses when retraining staff on new systems. By embedding AI into existing tools, Google reduces the disruption of deploying the technology.
“ You don’ t want to have to retrain your entire workforce on using a new set of tools,” Kristina says.“ And that’ s
