Electric Power Engineers, LLC independently evaluated the architecture using PSCAD, a widely used powersystem simulation platform. Its model combined a detailed representation of the Texas grid with an AI data-centre load profile and assessed load smoothing, low-voltage ride-through, backup power and demand response. The report confirmed the performance and demonstrated compliance with current ERCOT requirements.
DIMAAG also presented the architecture to ERCOT’ s Large Load Working Group in April 2026. That engagement matters because the power challenge cannot be solved by the data centre industry alone. Utilities, grid operators, hyperscalers, equipment manufacturers and engineering partners have to plan the system together.
The commercial platform, made in the US and available now, packages the architecture in repeatable modules of up to 5 MW. Multiple platforms can operate in parallel, allowing capacity to be added as new data halls come online rather than requiring an entire campus to be redesigned.
The aim, Ian says, is to transform highly dynamic AI data centres into“ predictable, grid-aware loads that utilities can plan for with confidence”.
