Gen AI has well and truly established itself among businesses big and small , yet , as expectations of it increase , so do the pressures placed on the cloud

Gen AI has emerged as the main area of interest from the business world when it comes to AI , with companies racing to find ways to implement it into their operations . Code generation , document summary , even customer-facing chatbots all utilise Gen AI to optimise and expand functions .
Yet , as the use of Gen AI expands , so do the expectations from it . As businesses see what the technology is capable of , they increasingly look to test its limits . No more will that chatbot just remain a chatbot , it will become a personal shopper too . This , however , comes with a cost . A cloud cost . Scaling , financial and computational costs are all issues that enterprises interested in Gen AI will see becoming an issue , and so it ’ s one of the subjects we ’ ll be exploring in this issue .
