AI STRATEGY
“ If what you want is an absolute oracle telling you exactly what is going to happen, you are setting yourself up for failure”
Juan José López Murphy

Globant progressing at different rates, and trying to predict exactly what the landscape will look like one year from now may be less useful than it sounds. So my prediction is almost an anti-prediction,” he explains, once again subverting the line of questioning.
“ The strategic advantage will not come from being the organisation that guessed perfectly what AI would look like twelve months from now. It will come from being the organisation that built itself to make good decisions as those capabilities arrive,” he highlights.“ Can you understand what has changed? Can you evaluate the uncertainty? Can you decide quickly whether a new capability is relevant to you? Can you integrate it without rebuilding everything? And can you give the system the right amount of authority without giving it too much?”
Juan José believes the distinction between predictive, generative and agentic AI will become much less important in actual products.
“ Real problems do not respect those categories,” he says.“ You need to understand what has happened, estimate what is likely to happen next, explore possible responses and then decide whether to take action.”
He concludes:“ And that brings us back to the same point: intelligence is not just the predicted value. It is how well you understand the uncertainty around it and how intelligently you make the choices that follow.”
