In 2025, Checkatrade launched TradeMore, an AI-powered job management platform. As well as job management and scheduling, the platform can also support with customer quotes, custom price lists, invoices and certificates. Additionally, the firm’ s job estimate calculator also uses AI for job estimates.
Despite this, Gorden is optimistic about the future:“ I definitely see a world where we’ re using AI to do a lot more problem resolution rather than just discovery. Right now, I’ m using AI a lot to find information but I want to get to a world where I just give it the problem to solve and it goes off and solves it.”
Offering a stark example of how he sees the future, Gorden says:“ Right now I can ask AI to find me a trade, and it will carry out the task. I want to get to a world where we can say‘ my tap’ s leaking, fix it’ and it will automatically contact trades, find availability, get multiple quotes, find the best price, book the trade and it’ ll just come back to me 15 minutes later saying‘ Trade booked, they’ ll be here tomorrow. How else can I help you?’”.
