“ I think one of the benefits of serving so many different types of businesses across all industries is that it’ s so fun to see how people are taking advantage of AI,” Kristina says.
Take Notes for Me serves distributed teams working across time zones, with meeting participants able to share captured notes with colleagues.
“ When people are in different time zones, it’ s really easy to see who would potentially benefit from the information being shared, capture those meeting notes and share them afterwards,” Kristina says.“ I think it’ s those types of capabilities – they’ re what may feel like small things – but when you pull them all together it really helps a very distributed team, some remote, some not, feel very connected and productive together.”
How AI is removing work drudgery Google’ s development work focuses on reducing workplace drudgery. Current priorities include helping users identify priorities within email inboxes and determining which tasks require immediate attention.
Future capabilities will extend to content transformation across formats. The company is working on tools that can convert documents into presentations or video communications, pulling assets from across an organisation’ s Workspace environment.
“ We wake up every day and try to think about what is the drudgery that we could take out of folks’ lives,” Kristina says.“ When I think about myself, it’ s like, oh gosh, my inbox is so crazy. What can AI do to help me understand what are the most important things I need to know? What are the most important tasks?”
Google Workspace Flows represents the company’ s approach to business process automation. Rather than requiring users to configure each step of a workflow, the tool applies contextual understanding to handle processes involving data collection, analysis and reporting. The system is designed to manage workflows that currently require manual oversight at multiple stages.
“ I’ m super excited about what that will bring to the workforce,” Kristina says.
