This expansion occurred during a period of significant change in the gaming technology sector, with the emergence of AI tools, increased sophisticated cyber threats and evolving regulatory requirements.
“ We’ ve been growing very fast in many new markets, seeing huge growth in both the use of technologies as well as our customer base, which has brought internal growth as well,” notes Aggelos. This growth culminated in recognition at the 2024 EGR Operator Awards, where the company secured seven awards, including Operator of the Year – the greatest distinction available for online gaming operators.
The company’ s development of in-house technology solutions, rather than a reliance on third-party providers, demonstrates its approach to maintaining control over security and customer experience. As Aggelos highlights, this enables Kaizen Gaming to be“ faster and more efficient” when it comes to business development.

operations running. The infrastructure division maintains systems supporting staff speaking more than 30 languages across 40 nationalities, requiring specific considerations for access controls and security protocols.
The security team operates as part of the infrastructure department, enabling direct integration of security measures into system development.“ Information security is a very broad domain. It covers both cybersecurity and all other aspects of security. We’ re a technological organisation, so in that sense, cybersecurity is the focus,” explains Aggelos.
The infrastructure must support rapid deployment capabilities for new market entry.“ We’ re using a very common framework that is well accepted across the globe. We’ re using the ISO 27001. We’ re certified for it and this provides a strategy and provides initiatives that can cover all the aspects of the business that we operate in. It is also a big enabler when it comes to releasing new markets,” he says.
