Future-proofing Agencies with Digital Verification to Strengthen Program Integrity, Meet Demand
In the United States, agencies are preparing to activate the newly expanded benefit eligibility requirements mandated by H. R. 1, a federal law designed to further strengthen program integrity, including reducing error rates and improving accuracy, that goes into effect on January 1, 2027.
Agencies will be required to verify income every six months rather than once a year, significantly increasing the amount of work agencies must perform to determine eligibility. To help agencies verify these expanded requirements, such as work hours, community service, participation in job programmes, and education- as well as navigate the increased workload- SteadyIQ recently expanded its suite of intelligent verification solutions.
Collaborating for Impact
Designed with the Missouri Department of Social Services( DSS), SteadyIQ’ s purpose-built, endto-end verification solution suite extends beyond income and will support full verification capabilities of community engagement requirements, including exemption, volunteering, and community service processing, as well as verify work hours, job programme participation, and education.
Missouri’ s decision to build its H. R. 1 strategy using SteadyIQ’ s purpose-built verification suite was rooted in a nearly five-year partnership that grew out of trust and sustained collaboration.
“ As DSS works to implement federally required H. R. 1 eligibility and verification changes, our focus remains accuracy, efficiency and the people we serve,” said Toi Wilde, Chief Information Officer for the Missouri Department of Social Services.
Crudele reinforced SteadyIQ’ s co-design development approach, which ensures solutions are compliant, operationally practical, and grounded in real-world program delivery and user experience.“ SteadyIQ’ s products have always been driven by agencies’ needs and Missouri DSS has been a key partner in guiding our roadmap. Their feedback, partnership, and trust have directly influenced how we support total income verification and H. R. 1 community engagement nationwide.”
