THE AI INTERVIEW

P

amela Maynard holds a job title that didn’ t exist two years ago. As the first Chief AI Transformation Officer for Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions( MCAPS), her role is focused on how AI actually transforms work: not in theory but in practice across both Microsoft’ s own operations and with its customers.
Before this, she ran Avanade – a 60,000-employee systems integrator – and her influence stretches well beyond the tech sector. She’ s been named one of British Vogue’ s 25 Most Influential Women in the UK, recognised in the Powerlist Top 10, awarded BBBA’ s 2024 Black British Business Person of the Year and the 2023 Stevie Awards Female Executive of the Year, plus sits on the boards of the Royal Horticultural Society and Junior Achievement Worldwide.
She’ s proof that AI transformation demands its own seat at the executive table – and Microsoft’ s global scale is proof that it’ s a seat that delivers.“ For me it was an opportunity to really learn deeply,” she says.“ This is an opportunity to learn on the job about driving scale AI transformation, something that many CEOs around the world and leadership teams are grappling with.”
By addressing the thorniest challenges executives currently face regarding AI transformation within enterprises, Pamela shows how leaders and enterprises can unlock a new level of success – and how customers can do the same.
