All eyes will be on Audi ’ s first pilot fleet of autonomous cars next year – which will be something along the lines of the AI : Con , a fully electric four-door concept which was unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show . That vehicle certainly ticked all the futuristic boxes with no pedals , steering wheel and conventional headlights ( sensors and autonomous technology negate the need for traditional road lighting ). Other models which have caught attention include the Audi AI : TRAIL which , rather than fitting rear passenger seats , has two hanging chairs that resemble a hammock , the AI : RACE high-performance sports car and AI : ME , modelled on a living room .
