Liz applies that adaptability at Just Eat Takeaway. com( JET), the food delivery marketplace that connects customers with restaurants, grocers and retailers. As Vice President of Global Technology Platforms, she oversees the infrastructure that underpins the company’ s product engineering teams.
She explains:“ My responsibility is building all the Lego-brick capabilities that power our product engineers to build commercial and customerfacing products and services. We build data platforms, agentic platforms and engineering and developer platforms.”
Just Eat employs more than 2,400 technology staff, organised into pillars covering growth, commerce and logistics, underpinned by shared platform teams.
Liz’ s team operates what she calls“ autonomy within a framework” – centralised infrastructure that frees engineers to focus on innovation rather than repetitive build processes.
This includes centralised continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines( CI / CD), which automate the testing and release of software.
